January 6-8, 2012 Walt Disney World played host to marathon runners from all over the world. During this weekend long event, many rare characters appeared along the race courses. Many of the characters that appeared for meet and greet along the race courses are unavailable for regular meet and greet. We ran the half marathon on Saturday, January 7, 2012 and below are some of the characters we met. Other characters who appeared along the route were Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Barbosa and Jack Sparrow, Mary Poppins, Bert, and Penquins, Queen of Hearts, Phineas and Ferb, Duffy, Launchpad McQuack, and Chip and Dale. More rare characters who appeared at the full marathon included Big Bad Wolf and Three Little Pigs, Mushu, Jose and Panchito, Chip and Dale Resue Rangers, among many others. If you are interested in unique character experiences, the marathons are the way to go!
