Club Disney Dance Party at Hollywood Studios

The new Club Disney Dance Party recently opened inside Disney's Hollywood Studios. All the VIP characters  have new overdressings. To drum up business during slow times, the characters come outside and do meet and greet sets. We were able to meet them all this way. No dancing required! 

Villains Unleashed-New Hard Ticket Event August 23rd

Hollywood Studios announced they will be hosting a special event similar to last year's Limited Time Magic event, Unleash the Villains. This new event, Villains Unleashed, is a one night only event boasting appearances of over 50 Disney Villains plus special shows, dance parties, and merchandise. 

Disney reservation agents have a list of characters that are scheduled to appear. Of course, entertainment is always subject to change and three of the characters are listed as "to be determined". Below is the list that was provided. No delineation was made between meet and greet, show, dance party, or Fantasmic appearances.

2013 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Christmas has descended upon the Magic Kingdom! Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is now being held on select nights in November and December. This is a special ticketed event and parties are subject to sell out. Here is a rundown of the characters meeting at this year's party. For a checklist of characters appearing click here MVMCP list.

Beginning in Fantasyland (where the majority of the characters are appearing)

The Seven Dwarfs in Christmas hats and scarves meet in front of the castle wall nearest Pinocchio's Village Haus. They continue to be a popular draw and their line started forming around 5:30pm. If the seven dwarfs are a priority for you, we suggest beginning at this meet and greet and lining up no later than 5:45pm. Their line stays long all night and getting this photo out of the way, frees up your evening to enjoy other activities.

If the Seven Dwarfs are not a priority but meeting the Princesses and Princes is, we suggest beginning your evening at the Rapunzel/Flynn Rider line. Princess Fairytale Hall closes to day guests between 6:30pm-6:45pm depending on wait time. A line outside of the building to meet Rapunzel, Flynn, Snow White, and Snow Prince started forming at 6:00pm. Wait times remained steady at around 45 minutes all evening. Cinderella, Prince Charming, Aurora, and Prince Phillip had lesser waits on average 20 minutes. After the second parade, the Cinderella side was no wait.  

Minnie Mouse greets guests near the castle wall across from Friar's Nook. Minnie had an average of 5-15 minute waits throughout the evening.

Mary Poppins, Bert, and Penguins met near the Carousel intermittently throughout the party. Their meeting times began at the top of the hour. Wait times were minimal.

Wendy Darling meets during the party near Peter Pan's Flight. Peter Pan will be meeting with Wendy at future parties. Wendy and Peter appear in scarves which is basically the only difference between their daytime and MVMCP appearances.

Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore meet near the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride. They appear in holiday scarves. Appearances are intermitten and begin at 7:30pm. The Pooh characters do not sign autographs. 

Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Scrooge McDuck greeted guests all night near the entrance to Storybook Circus. They met all evening with just quick 2-3 minute breaks. Lines were long at the beginning of the evening. We waited about 20-25 minutes. 

Other Fantasyland characters appearing are Belle inside Enchanted Tales with Belle, Ariel inside her Grotto, and Merida at Fairytale Gardens. Each of these experiences are the same as the regular daytime offerings. To maximize your party time, we suggest meeting these characters during your daytime park visit.

In Tomorrowland, Phineas and Ferb appeared throughout the night continuously. They meet guests in their holiday hats and scarves. If time is of the essence, Phineas and Ferb also appear in their holiday outfits at Disney's Hollywood Studios during regular park hours.

Over in Adventureland, Aladdin and Abu rotate with Jasmine and Genie. Wait times varied throughout the evening. Depending on your spot in line, you may meet Aladdin and Abu or Jasmine and Genie. 

Tinker Bell in her winter outfit and Periwinkle meet inside Tinker Bell's Magical Nook in Adventureland. This meet and greet is the same as during regular park hours so we suggest meeting them before the party begins. If you prefer to meet them during the party, they had no wait after the second parade. 

Captain Jack Sparrow meets at the Pirate Tutorial Stage in Adventureland. He rotates with a pirate band playing pirate Christmas songs. If you see the band performing, wait around and Jack will come out after their set.

In Frontierland, all four country bears meet at the Rivers of America. Big Al, Shaker, Liver Lips, and Wendell appear in scarves and enjoy dancing about!

Tiana and Naveen greet guests at their normal daytime location behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. Wait times were minimal. 

Mickey Mouse meets guests inside Town Square Theater. He does not appear in any holiday attire. This experience is the same as during the day. 

 
There are two dance parties during MVMCP. One inside Frontierland's Diamond Horseshoe Review featuring Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye. Another inside Tomorrowland's Cosmic Rays featuring Santa Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale. These experiences are not normal meet and greets. You can take photos dancing with the characters but they rarely will pose for a photo on the dance floor.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2013

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2013 added some surprising changes to the character line up and many characters changed locations due to the opening of new and expanded lands. The most notable addition to the character line up is Jack & Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas!

Jack and Sally are meeting at Tour Guide Gardens next to City Hall on Main Street USA. This is the area that Snow White meets during the day. The line formed for Jack & Sally at 4:00pm but did not exceed about 10 people until around 5:30. 

Jack & Sally do not sign autographs. Guests are given pre-signed autograph cards. Photopass is available.

My recommendation is to line up early for Jack & Sally before the party starts. This way you don't waste precious party time waiting for them.

Their line was consistently was 90-105 minutes long all evening. 

New to Main Street were some favorite villain characters. Lotso, Jafar, and The Tremaines were scattered around Main Street. The Tremaines were roaming characters that did not have a dedicated line but would stop for pictures and interact with guests.

Lotso also joined the Main Street character line up meeting next to Tony's Restaurant where Mary Poppins meets during the day. Lotso had short waits throughout the night. 

Jafar also met on Main Street but we did not have a chance to catch him for a photo. Jafar meets near the exit of the Mickey Mouse meet and greet just outside Town Square Theater.

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse met inside Town Square Theater in there Halloween finery. They had minimal waits throughout the evening. 

Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Snow White were joined by their princes inside Town Square Theater. They had a maximum wait of 30 minutes during the party. Note-after September 18, the princesses will be meeting at their new location Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland. 

Moving over to Adventureland, Jane, Terk, and Tarzan met at the Adventureland Veranda. Tinker Bell and Vidia met at Tinker Bell's Magical Nook. Jack Sparrow met at the Pirate Tutorial Stage. Aladdin with Abu rotated with Jasmine and Genie near the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

Moving to Frontierland, the only characters appearing were inside the Diamond Horseshoe Review. Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye danced with guests.

On to Liberty Square. Tiana and Naveen greetrd guests behind the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Tiana's Glen. This is Tiana's regular meet and greet location. 

Moving over to Fantasyland. Many characters changed locations this year and started appearing in Fantasyland. The largest change was the seven dwarves. The seven dwarves now meet in front of the castle wall across from Pinocchio's Village Haus.

The seven dwarves started their meet and greet early at 6:50pm. Only party guests with wristbands were allowed to meet them. The line started forming around 5:00pm. This line is almost completely in the sun so if you line up early, expect to be warm!

Aurora and Prince Phillip were meeting behind the castle across from Cinderella's Fountain. During the fireworks times, they move to meet in front of the carousel area. Note-after September 18, Aurora and Phillip will move inside to the new Princess Fairytale Hall. 

Belle appears at Enchanted Tales with Belle in Fantasyland. This attraction does not offer anything special during the party so visiting during the day to save time at the party is recommended. 

Ariel appears at her grotto in her normal daytime location and also does not change during the party. If you can meet Ariel prior, you can save time for other characters that are exclusive to the party.

Gaston meets near his tavern at his normal meet and greet location in his normal outfit. Again, if you can meet Gaston earlier in the day, I would recommend doing so.

Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet meet at their ride in Fantasyland. They appear in their Halloween finery. They do not sign autographs but photopass is available.

Alice and the Mad Hatter meet at the Tea Cups in Fantasyland. 

Moving along to Storybook Circus. Donald and Daisy meet at the Storybook Circus entry sign.

Goofy meets near his ride The Barnstormer! He meets in his daytime meet and greet outfit. 

In Tomorrowland the new Monsters Inc dance party features some hard to find monsters. Boo, Needleman, George Sanderson, Mike Wazowski, and Sulley dance with guests.

Buzz Lightyear meets at his daytime location near Carousel of Progress.

Last but not least is the always popular Villains Mix and Mingle. The show is the same as last year. After the show at the castle stage, the villains come down to meet and greet with guests. They do not sign autographs and they to not have photopass. Here is the order the villains appear from left to right: Maleficient, Dr Facilier, Evil Queen, Capt Hook, Cruella DeVil, Queen of Hearts. Judge Frollo is a roaming character in the castle courtyard.
