runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend Breakfast

Ever wonder what happens inside those big white tents in the reunion area at a runDisney race? Well, they house all shorts of special ticketed events! 

After the runDisney Princess 5K, breakfast is served just outside the finish line. Runners (and non-runners a like) are treated to a catered breakfast and entertainment. Registration for the breakfast opens along with the races. 

Disney character are on hand for photo opportunities. Characters change every year but usually follow the theme of the race. This year Pocahontas, Jasmine, Belle, and Mulan appeared for breakfast goers.

Pasta in the Park-RunDisney

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend played host to four nights of Pasta in the Park parties. We were lucky enough to attend the Pasta in the Park party on it's last night. 

This year's party was a circus themed event and the VIP characters appeared for meet and greet in their Festival of Fantasy parade outfits. This was a rare treat for party goers and especially for us. 

It was a fantastic event with all our favorite characters, great food, and entertainment.

Halloween Around the Walt Disney World Resorts

Halloween is a great time to visit Walt Disney World if you love characters. For one night only, the Walt Disney World resorts play host to a cast of Disney characters in their finest Halloween costumes. Each resort features your favorite Disney characters in specially themed costumes to fit the decor of each resort. The Disney Resort Activity Staff also hosts trick or treating and special Halloween games at each resort.

Fort Wilderness hosts a special Halloween themed Mickey's Backyard Barbeque where the characters also appear in Halloween costume.

Stromboli-Rock Your Disney Side 24 Hour Event

Stromboli made a rare appearance on Saturday, May 24 in the early morning hours at Magic Kingdom. Disney villains took over the Magic Kingdom as part of the Rock Your Disney Side 24 Hour Party! Stromboli greeted guests in front of Pinocchio's Village Haus. 

Marathon Weekend 2014-Family Fun 5K Run

Disney's Marathon Weekend is in full swing and the events kicked off with the Family Fun 5K Run! Numerous characters appeared on the course, at the family reunion area, and at the Family Fun Run Breakfast following the race.

Special Monsters, Inc characters appeared at the breakfast for those who pre-registered for this event.

Long Lost Friends at Walt Disney World

Long Lost Friends at Walt Disney World is underway. This second round of Long Lost Friends includes four sets of characters. 

Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, Prince John, and Sheriff of Nottingham are meeting at the Flag Pole on Main St.

Chicken Little and Abby Mallard are also meeting at the Flag Pole on Main St.

Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox are meeting outside of Tony's Restaurant on Main St

Dr Facilier and Louis the Aligator are meeting at the exit area of Main Street Theater.

Characters are appearing daily July 15-21 from 9:00am-2:45pm.

Independence Day at Walt Disney World

Independence Day is a busy day around the Walt Disney World Resort. Fort Wilderness hosts a special Mickey's Backyard Barbecue with characters in their patriotic finery. Epcot plays host to some special Independence Day characters. Saratoga Springs Resort, Contemporary, and Old Key West also hosted special events featuring meet and greets with characters.
